Can anyone help me identify which tablet/manudacturer for this. I have been trying to find the proper ROM for about a month without success. This is a VIA8650 tablet. All I know about this tablet is that the size 7", mainboard is m009s v16, green LED / red when charging, black audio jack, no vibrate, 2 touch, back button is black with round arrow and wifi card K2-364 (Atheros).
The tablet is silver and on the back there is no branding except Input power: 9V, Designed and Made in China, FCC, Wifi, CE, RoHS. This has a white MID box. With factory firmware, the tablet was slow but everything worked even my 3G dongle. The problem started when the tablet switched off and nothing could switch it on. I opened and reseated modules and cables and managed to switch on but when i switched on wifi, it starts scanning and then get 'Unable to Scan Networks' and Wifi turned off.
Unfortunately I upgraded the factory ROM without backing up and although many ROMs worked, I never managed to get Wifi. I suspected the Wifi module to be faulty and ordered an identical replacement from your store Model#:sku10023 which was very quick to arrive but when I soldered it yesterday and tried another couple of ROMs but still no luck. Have you ever seen a similar tablet and maybe you can guide me to a ROM which is proven to work with this type of wifi module ?
