Ok, thanks, the 15.12.2011 was the best 2.3.1 ROM image for the M12 Tablet in my opinion ...

I don't know for sure.... but it looks a lot like it after cleaning it (removing the Chinese for me unreadable apps) it runs very smooth I'm staying at this rom. For me the main reason is the expanded internal memory, 1,5 gb for apps and the main software! AstroKnight took 1gb from the flash memory.

Many hanks to Astro Knight for his work!

I agree with you, it's very smooth, awesome battery life, plus the added memory, we got a winner here until the new ICS 4.0 M12 ROM image comes our way, yes .... Great job AstroKnight ...!

The above photo is my personal home screen of the newly released ROM by AstroKnight ...!

I would advise ALL M12 owners to upgrade to the new M12 Tablet ROM by AstroKnight, located in post # 18 by Mr.DiXi, it's also located now in post # 1 ... This new ROM is just outright awesome, again thanks to Mr.DiXi for the find and North America download Link ...!

Ahhh another firmware to try eh?

This sounds like the one for me too, the previous Astroknight was a win for me, if this is an improvement on that i want it/

Cheers for the links and respect to Astroknight for his continuous sterling work for out M12;s

Not with this latest ROM as ive not d/l it yet, but does anyone else experience the issue of some app icons not loading correctly on your homescreens when you turn on your device ... and just get the default Android 'icon-not-found' looking icon .... or is that just me?
If others have had this issue, and upgraded to this latest from Astroknight ... does it fix that too?

Its no real problem, just a slight pain in the arse having to re-assign all my homescreen icons when my battery dies and i start it up again, its always the same app icons too but i cant see a pattern, its not to do with them being saved on SD which was my initial suspicion

PS: Cisco, why you got the phone icon in your dock, do you have some sort of phone app behind that running on your M12 - or is it just default and you not bothered replacing it yet?

Yes. I have the best phone calls app (TextPlus+ Phone Calls.apk) for the M12 Tablet in the world (lol), NO SIM CARD REQUIRED. also I can receive incoming calls .... The icons load perfect for me...! You should only let your battery run all the way out twice, when you first get your new M12 Tablet... After that, never ever let your battery run all the way out again ... Read the instructions booklet that came with your new M12 Tablet ...

PS Does anybody know where I can get a HDMI out cable wire for the M12 Tablet, thanks in advance ....!

The phone icon is just there, because the ROM is a new install as you know already ... I was meaning to replace it with the "TextPlus+ Phone Calls" icon ...

I got my hdmi cable from amazon here:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...00_i00_details

Geographically speaking, it might not be the best place for you to get yours but at least you can see the kind of thing that I've got.

Works a treat as well, just spent a week in a hotel where the TV had a free hdmi port at the back. I had already loaded my sd card with new films because I am too cheap to pay hotel box office rates.

I know that a few of us have tried the ICS beta that astroknight gave us to have a look at back in december, I thought that I would tell him how popular his work is on this forum and ask when we can expect a fully working version. This is his reply:

"Thank you for your support! The only way for us to use a stable and full functional ICS is waiting an official rom. The preview ICS rom I made is a test bed for rooting, simplifying and other functions. Let's wait and hope RK will eventually release it! ..."

Nothing new there especially but at least we know where we are.
