Sigh, even Simple Chinese is something I can't handle. Thanks for the link to download this firmware, but I can't even manage to register or navigate on115.com - I think because of language difficulty. Google says it's already in English!? Can anyone help?

Will updating Paladin to 4.0.3 revert setting back to Chinese or keep as I set up?

After a number of hours tinkering with my Chinese Ainol Novo7 Paladin, I finally have a "nice" Android system setup with 4.0.1 except for the lack of flash on MIPS. I have taken the time to tweek the settings of my Paladin such as English keyboard and all the other things (too many I have actually forgotten what they are) so that it actually works pretty good. Of course I want flash so I have put Update.zip on my SD card and was ready to try the flashing of the Paladin to get 4.0.3. But being an average computer user, I thought "Will this create a whole new restart of resetting up? If so, is it worth it?" I guess it is, but my question is then this: Do I need to take notes of my settings so it isn't a headache to go back and do it all again, or does the new firmware remember all my settings once on 4.0.3 that I have/had while on 4.0.1? Thanks for your knowledge of firmware upgrades impact on the condition of the old/updated system so I can avoid more headaches. Thanks.

I think you should take back up for your current firmware. Paladin's official 4.0.3 update is not yet released by ainol, it is leaked from some chinese forum and people have mixed reactions using the update.......If i were you, i will wait for another week, chinese holidays will be over in few days and after that ainol may release the official 4.0.3 for paladin as well.......

    4.0.03

Ok thanks for your suggestion that Ainol might put the update on their site in as little as a week. Probably worth waiting for. I still have the question though. If I then install Ainol's 4.0.3, will I have to re-change all the settings or does it keep 4.0.1 settings? I assume a new systems so new defaults, but honestly, I hate forgetting where settings are and searching all around for them one after the other. I forget this kind of stuff as I only involve myself with firmware changes as little as possible in my computer world. Thanks.
