    Novo 7 Won't Power On

I recently received a Novo 7 basic with cameras. It worked great for a few days, but suddenly would no longer turn on. It was as if the battery had died, but even after long periods of charging through USB or Power Cord there was no response. The unit didn't make any sound and the screen showed no reaction when the power button was pressed. Thankfully I was able to get the tablet working again, so here are the steps if it happens to you.

You need to press the reset and volume up buttons for 20sec. After that pressing the power button turned the tablet on normally.

Just reset or reset and power had no effect. Pretty simple fix, but nobody seemed to know about it.

Mine quit powering up as well. Just a black screen when I pressed the power button on. I used the head of a small needle to press the reset button. The hole for this is really tiny. Once I hit the reset button with the needle head for just a fraction of a second, the tablet powered up and has been working normally ever since. I'm wondering if some of you might be using too large an object to press the reset.Normally they recommend using a paperclip wire to reset. But, given that the hole for the reset is really tiny, this would have to be a very thin-wire paper clip to work.

I felt panic when my Novo 7 Paladin died, but with your tip I'd just recovered it. Thanks!

Thanks to both topic creature and Wombat for helping me fix my ainol. Having USB plugged in while pressing those buttons did the trick. I hope others get to fix
