seems like #221 can't be rooted for now. I've tried #223(as far as i remember) and had the same issue. You need to install 2011-8-3. Off course do the backup first!

how do I backup without root?
I rooted #203 with latest SuperOneClick v2.3.1 ( it was not possible with version 2.2 ) may be it is now possible for #221 and #223 too.Originally Posted by potomek

Both versions (rootable #143 and the other one #22x) are posted at thread regarding firmware 2011-8-3. One at first post, another at post no 27(page 4)

? at post 27 there is version #203 (both #143 and #203 can be rooted with SuperOneClick v2.3.1)
Can someone tell what the latest available version of firmware is for A700 with working GPS and DVB-T?
And if possible share a link to a package containing the latest lk.rom and TCC8900_mtd.img to flash with fwdn
With current available firmware I can not make my GPS work
Or if someone can tell how to make the GPS function again with an up-to-date firmware, would be great to
