FRUSTRATED! Now your replacement touchscreens dont fit????

Ok, finally got my replacement touch screen for the G10 I bought and guess what..... It does not fit! I ordered the following for the following GPAD

The black bezel is about 1/4" to short and does not even cover up the metal support bezel that it sits on. Also, the glass portion of the touch screen is about 1/8" larger than the opening in the metal bezel. This GPAD has been nothing but problems and I should have know better. First WIFI would not work, then once I finally got it working, but constantantly rebooting until it did work, then market would not work, then the menu button and home buttons broke, then I cracked the touchscreen ( by barely pressing on it), then the replacement screen does not even fit. Guess I got to scrap the whole thing and go out and buy an itouch or something. It could be a great device if Pandawill would get their QA together!

Wow, I'm sorry you're having so many problems with yours. Seems like you got a lemon (a dud). Mine doesn't have many problems. Sometimes the wifi signals drops randomly, and sometimes it seems to freeze or reboot. But nothing hardware related. They should replace your unit. Because spending over 100$ on something like that is completely unacceptable. Pandawill, reading these kinds of posts make me NEVER want to buy from you again. I hope this G10 lasts at least 2 years, after that I'm upgrading to a REAL tablet.

I've been on many generic tablet forums, and barely anyone who buy from other stores have this many problems with their tablets. Makes me think Pandawill doesn't know what they are doing and are just more concentrated on money making (which business isnt though, I guess).

Yea, it seems to be hit and miss with these. Lot of people have no problems, just a lemon I got I guess. Butl, the issue is that is was a christmas present for my daughter. Yea, I gambled in getting an ipad android knockoff, but she ain't getting the ipad she wants . To $$ and to limited. I actually like the G10, and if they get their quality together, it would be a kick butt device. I managed to get the touchsscreen they sent me installed, but I had to do some modifications (i.e. grinding) on the metal bezel to get the glass to fit. It works fine now, but there is still a gap on the left side of the device where the black overlay does not cover the underlying metal bezel by 1/4". I am going to try to at least put black paint on it so it looks halfway decent and still give it to her as a present. Just hoping she can at least watch her kiddy shows, youtube and Pandora which is all she really wants it for. Lesson learned is that next time, get one first and get it checked out before deciding to give it as a present

the glass will appear to be on one side if you don;t install it correctly. i have had similar problems even with my original screen , becasue i have open it more then 3 times now, to take pics and to adjust the screen. you have to position it the right way and then once you put the plastic cover, it will stick in place. but don;t mess up the device with paint. it will look odd. just try to reopen it and position the glass in the middle of the plastic cover. it will fit if you have the time to do it. when i first open my screen and put it back together i has an open gap under the plaster cover, i had to reopen it and adjust the glass a little bit. as a guide there is a box that is painted on the board where the glass is placed. if you line it up with that box on the board. the plastic cover will fit just right. (make sure you do this on a level surface)

I would suggest you to return it and get a replacement. It does not make sense in keep fixing such problems on a bad piece.
