I have one (Thinking it is X10) in China . But also have trouble with GPS. I find out that GPS will easily start working if the charger (9V DC) is used after the MID is warmed up.
I am still keeping in touch with the supplier in China and looking for solution to no working GPS.
I have the firmware software,its version is
RomVersion:
M810.V700.10.06.01.16
Software Version: V2.0.10.01.21.10
It seems that the update process not changes OS's regist table.
Does anyone have newer version?

What is this component? It has been burned. When it is connected to pc (USB OTG) it smokes and very hot.
