    Aoson M19 Bricked

    HI All,

I have resently had some issue with Aoson M19 and i believe it is bricked.... I think.
When powering on I get the Aoson start-up screen and then nothing... its just stuck on this screen.
After reading a number of post on this site and other sites, I figured I could maybe reload the (original) firmware found on this site ( http://www.szaoson.com/download.aspx ), I also downloaded the RKdevice Manager from this site.
    I battled with the drivers on both Win7 x64 and XP x32 for hours but finally got it working;

The trick I discovered with USB drivers is that it would not install becuase the VID and PID in the install .ini file did not match what windows discovered. After identifying these two, I matched this in the drivers install .ini file and got the driver to install.

Now wehn I use the RK device manager it show that a RK device is connected but when I try to load a new image after about 5 seconds I get a error message "could not find drive!"
The question I have, is the device completly poked? or is this an issue with my USB driver?

I would really appreciate any comments or help with this.

    Thanks

    Guys,

Good new I managed to figure out how to upload factory default image.

    1. download default image and RK tool from this site (http://www.szaoson.com/ipad/download.aspx)
    2. unzip file
    3. change config.ini to english
    4. load application and then load the image you wish to load to the device
    5. Connect power cable
    6. this is the tricky part you need one hand free...... Connect the mini USB cable and then press and hold Power and Menu key. Dont let go of these keys
    7. Windows will attempt to install device but fail. Open device manager and use the drive that come with the Rk tool ( I used Win x64 bit and works)
    8. Once the RK tool shows that the device is connected while still holding power and menu keys click on upgrade.
    9. Wait for upgrade to complete, at this stage you can release buttons and device will go through a few reboots and after about 5 min you tablet will be back to factory settings.

I am in the process of testing this with other images but I guess the process with be similar. Will post results once I have tested other images.

    Hi everyone!
Today I've tried to update my AOSON M19 tablet but something goes wrong and now the tablet is bricked. Things happened by this way:

-I've tried to update the tablet with the Rockchip Batch Tool following the recommended procedure that has worked in all the others update I've made. The procedure has formatted successfully the deviced but has filed the transfer of the image file to the tablet.
-After this step the tablet seems to be dead: it doesn't power on and the screen is black.
-I've tried to connect the tablet to the USB port of my pc (windows xp) but the system doesn't recognize it. Under Windows Hardware Manager I have an Unknown Device connected to the system USB Hub.
-I've tried to install the Rockchip drivers that have always worked before but windows tell me that the drivers specified have no information about the hardware I'm trying to install.

I'm stuck in this situation and I don't know what to do. Hope someone could help me.

Thank you very much in advise
