LY-F2S google play store app and other setup problems

...just saw this. I also cursed the lack of instructions out there for using LiveSuite. Once you have found a working download site (first challenge), run LiveSuit.exe in a designated folder as it will just unpack wherever you run it. Run LiveSuite, then select image (seby firmware), hold down volume up button (the tablet needs to be turned off first) and while holding down, plug it into your computer via usb, then while still holding down the volume up button, rapidly press the power button until a window pops up on your computer, then you can let go of the buttons (don't know what that person was on who invented this sequence). It will first install drivers which don't conform with Windows (proceed) and then ask you to install with or without format. Install with format. When you are on XP like I am, you will actually see a status bar that tells you the progress of the install. Far less unnerving than not seeing anything ;-)

It also includes LiveSuite in the rar file. The download site is extremely unreliable though, it took me 5 goes before I had an uninterrupted download. Good luck with it...

...just on the side. After the frustration with that E11 tab, I ended up buying an 1Gb RAM LY-F1 from Pandawill. It works like a charm from the box. I am very impressed with it and it was only $15 more than the other piece of sh!t.

Thanks, that is quite helpful have spent hours trying to understand it all, think i follow quite a lot now but had still been struggling with the process!

Am i right in thinking:

1st: On laptop find a copy of seby firmware and download it onto c drive
2nd: Download livesuite onto c drive
3rd: Run Livesuite on laptop
4th: Select Seby Image on laptop
5th: Connect tablet-doing buttons etc.
Then hopefully you have new firmware on tablet?

In regard the official firmware is that as a suggested back up? If so should i download that onto my laptop?

Yeah - that's pretty much it.

I vaguely remember Mormopterus had windows driver fun and games which (with hindsight) maybe due to his unusual tablet; for me it pretty much worked straight off. I used A10LiveSuitPack_version_1.09_20120301 which I tracked down with google along with the seby firmware.

The only other thing was I think after I'd successfully flashed the tablet I needed to rename vold.fstab to vold.fstab.old and vold.fstab_ to vold.fstab in /system/etc using "ES file explorer" in order to make the sd card accessable and I installed "no frills CPU control" to up the max CPU clock frequency to 1.152 GHz (my tablet hangs any faster then that - you may have more luck.)

Can you guys access the itv player with the new firmware i am still hitting the situation where i cannot find that or 4od??

Used firefox to access the 4od website; I had to install / reinstall adobe flash; enabled the plug-in and I'm now watching Father Ted :-)

Glad it worked all out for you. I haven't bothered with the Seby firmware on my new LY-F1 yet as it is running quite smooth as it is. I live by the principle 'Don't fix what ain't broken'...

...in case you still have problems accessing apps in the store, I found that once I added my existing account from my phone (Motorola Defy), I could download and install everything that I ever downloaded on my phone onto my tab, even if it was previously unavailable. So essentially, you only need one device that has full access and link your other devices to the same account ;-)

Otherwise I would have probably thrown that stupid E11 out of the window. You couldn't even download most versions of Angry Birds :-<
