I. Root:
1.Instal PDAnet software from here http://www.topnotchtablets.com/installADBdriver for installation ADB Driver
(even if the driver not have installed at out of the installation will force Windows Update to install ADB Driver)
2.Use Unlock Root from http://www.unlockroot.com/ - chose reroot device.


II. Install Superuser from here:
http://androidsu.com/superuser/


III. change Google Play store version with 3.5.15 version (inspired from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...hp?t=1562205):
1. Download this Google Play 3.5.15 from here http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13422707183163
2. Use ES File Explorer who is already installed (go to Settings, check "Up to root" and "Root Explorer" - don't forget to Allow right when Superuser aplication ask)
3. Use ES File Explorer to delete Vending.apk placed in system/app
3. Use ES File Explorer to rename Google_Play_3.5.15.apk to Vending.apk and place it in system/app.

I am a little disappointed with CX-01. The browser does not decode HD, and Youtube client decodes HD, but in full screen repeats a part of the bottom screen. It is also unstable: cleint Youtube crashes very often, and the browser closes very often. And Google Play Store freeze and was unusable until I replaced with 3.5.15 version.The manufacturer should provide a software update.

Was anyone able to get youtube and or netflix to play fullscreen without black borders around the edge? The competition (mk802) is able to do it.

nope. my netflix freezes on video and audio works, i don't know what i am doing wrong...

All i can say is i am not happy with this device. The manufacturer needs to rework this build of android ics, as it barely runs on this device, unless i have a dud, my device is slow to respond and google play store needs to be downgraded and uninstalled every 5 minutes to work for 5 minutes and freeze.

My netflix use to freeze a lot until I went to my netflix account and change the video quality to "Better" instead of "Best". Also you need to keep a check on memory usage. I use these two apps to monitor memory usage and to free up memory:

Keep in mind this device only has 512MB of memory. I have the MK802 but prefer this device even though it has a few problems to sought out. Would be nice if we get a "Jelly Bean" upgrade that works.

really? i was about to pull the trigger on the ak802 with the 1gb ram 1.5ghz speed, i figured i'd enjoy running lubuntu and puppy on the thing. what about this device is betteer?

Of the apps that I tried, I find the CX01 is compatible with more apps than the MK802 out of the box. I am yet to install an app on the CX01 that ends up sideways where I have to lean my head to read. On the MK802 many apps end up sideways even though it has an "auto rotate" option. The CX01 has many different resolution settings including 1080P. I only see 1 setting on my MK802 for 720P. The CX01 appear to be outputting 1080P while the MK802 is not at present. I also notice the screen for my monitor will go blank for a few seconds many time while I never had that with the CX01. The CX01 runs extremely cool compared to the MK802. My biggest problem with the CX01 is netflix and youtube is not filling the screen completely. For the apps that I want to have the CX01 memory is not enough. On the CX01 I find netflix to be slow or freeze if I choose the "Best" video quality setting in my netflix account but if select the "Better settings it seems to play fine. Some people have problem with the CX01 not having a card slot, its not a problem to me.
