Thread: X10 GPS

  1. #11
Oh, I for got to mention the "reset". Before we come to the final conclusion, that the GPS is the problem, we need to reset the GPS. The "reset" button is on the back of the unit, up left. After u reset theunit, u need to et the map path again beofre u take the unit out in the open to test. Let's see if they work this time.

I'll try that...in the meanwhile: can someone confirm the port and bauds (34600) of the GPS? Just in case that is the matter...

    Thanks Jaywalker

On mine port = 1, baud rate = 4800. Speed doesn't really matter as long as it says 'gps found'.
It also took very long for the first time. After half an hour I gave up. I put on the balcony and let it stay there overnight. I had a fix the next morning. Don't know how long it took.

    Thanks Eric! I'll try that!

Ummm, I think ur Baud rate is the problem. The baud should be 4800. I do not know where u see ur rate of 34600. U need to go back to where u saw the 34600 baud rate, and change it to 4800, and save it.

It may be that with an image i explain better
Match the time of the tablet with the time of the image that you can see in to link the igo positioned perfect if not what i make so i am not positioned never
Not only the minute also el pais i of Spain and the schedule is two hours most of which indicates the image because search a country with two hours less in my case Reykjavik and perfect but it is not normal

Well, I have tried everything: I have left the X10 a whole night at the balcony with a perfect no-clouds sky, I have left it at the car for several hours, and nothing happens. I have set the bauds and port to its default state, and the only thing that I haven't tried yet is Aloxy's idea. I am trying it now, and if it doesn't work I'll give up, as all the GPS I've had never were such a hassle. I hope Pandawill can send me a working one...

    Gracias

ALOXY says he noticed the GPS had a conflict between the time of the GPS and the time of the X10. So, he changed the time and GMT settings to be equal to those in the GPS. In that way he was able to connect, though, as he says, now his X10 has a time that is not the real one.

I have tried that too for several hours with no results. I have asked Pandawill to change my X10 for a working one, because there's clearly something wrong. I have had several GPSs and none gave me so much trouble...

No conecta.

    Saludos!

P.D.: Le he aplicado el parche
