Hi coolsky mAn,
I have used imgRePacker which seems to work on most of the firmware img files.
Glad you are all up and working again !
You can try updating to the latest firmware which should have the latest version of Google Play pre-installed.
rsiyer,
Thanks for the pictures.
To me, that looks like Android has started up, but for some reason it has stalled at that point.
Does the clock still work, i.e. if you leave it does the time...
Can you just take a photo with a camera or phone ?
It's strange that adb is not recognizing the phone, as it should detect it pretty soon into the boot process (Way before the android UI has loaded).
It sounds like Android has actually started up now.
You should see a welcome to android type screen (Although it will be in Chinese).
Try tapping around the screen a bit to see if it progress any...
rsiyer,
Apologies, I've just re-read this whole thread and noticed you have the N80 and not the N90.
The Ampe firmware I directed you to was for the N90, this is why it isn't booting on your...
I am pretty sure the Ampe and Sanei are the same device.
I'm not sure why the Sanei firmware didn't work, but it is worth trying the Ampe firmware.
Worst case scenario is that it will not work and...
Which image did you flash ?
Can you upload a picture of the screen your seeing ?
You can try the latest firmware from the Ampe website, here ?
Make sure that you select to format the device when...
I will reply to your post in the correct thread.

Personally, i'd go for the antenna modification, as there is no confirmation that a firmware update could improve the WiFi.
I think the iPad1 rear camera is located towards one side, where as the Ampe A90 has the camera in the middle.
I must admit, I struggled to find anything on the Pandawill site dedicated for the Ampe A90 and needed something pretty quick as I was going away for a few weeks.
I did however find the following...
Under normal operation the tablet is recognized on your computer as an Android ADB device.
When you start the tablet up by holding down the VOL+, plug the cable in and tap the POWER button 7...
This may only work if you have installed a modified recovery image, such as Clockwork mod.
rsiyer, the Z4root app might of modified some system files that are stopping the tablet from booting now....
LocalJ
Here are the contents of my /system/etc/permissions
android.hardware.camera.autofocus.xml
android.hardware.camera.front.xml
android.hardware.camera.xml...
It seems to be working at the moment.
Glad it helped.
Waiting :p
This should work fine, although the Bluetooth on my device has problems finding any other devices.
Check this thread
What files do you have in your /system/etc/permissions directory ?
LocalJ, did that work for you ?
I only ask, as I noticed the firmware provided by Ampe has always been missing some files from /system/etc/permissions which restrict what Apps in the Play Store...
NFS is high on my list too, so don't worry.
I've already tried compiling the 3.0.8 kernel source from here and force loading things like nfs modules,
but get errors regarding the symbol versions.
The Ampe A90 uses the Realtek 8192CU wireless chipset and the driver support is built into the linux kernel directly.
I did start to look at compiling Realtek's driver from their website, but can't...
Sorry, I have been away the past few weeks.
How is your tablet at the moment, did you sort out the problem ?
