I had a problem where the battery meter on my ICOU7 still showed charge, but the tablet would suddenly turn off.
After about a week, the battery meter was stuck at 100% and never went down so it was difficult to know when to charge and for how long.

I tried battery calibration applications, but they didn't help.

After some searching I found a solution for a similar problem with the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora II tablet which has a similar chipset (All Winner) to the ICOU7.
(EDIT: It appears the solution below also works for one of the Onda All-Winner based tablets - refer: http://www.pandawillforum.com/archiv...p?t-14802.html)

This solution comes from:
http://forums.zzkko.com/topic/441-10...roblem-solved/
http://bbs.ainol.com/forum.php?mod=v...extra=page%3D1

I suspect this solution is VERY hardward specific.
This solution might work on other tablets - but it could also break them, so use at your own risk.
From the original post: "this method are reset PMU and the softare accurate parameter, the battery will go down to 5% after reboot , no need to worry, charge up the battery to 100% is ok."

I took the risk and found that it worked for my ICOU7

Your tablet must be rooted for this fix to work.

1. Get a terminal program (e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roidterm&hl=en) and start it.

2. Enter the following three lines into the terminal program (press enter between each line). You may need to allow the terminal program root access after the first line. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO MISTYPE.
su
echo B8 > /sys/devices/i2c-2/2-0034/axp20_reg
echo B820 > /sys/devices/i2c-2/2-0034/axp20_reg

3. Reboot - your tablet will report 5% battery charge. Thats is ok - recharge the battery and see if the problem is fixed.

ONLY do the following steps if your battery is still stuck at 100%
(I did not need to do these steps)

4. Start terminal program

5. Enter the following three lines into the terminal program.
su
echo 08 > /sys/devices/i2c-2/2-0034/axp20_reg
echo 0800 > /sys/devices/i2c-2/2-0034/axp20_reg

6. Reboot
