Been trying my W17Pro out for a few days and decided to write a little review:

Build:
This device is the most beautiful tablet I have ever tried. Its very lightweight and it has solid build quality.
Pros:
- Small edges
- Good buttons
- Original design

Cons:
- No physical home button (can be fixed by remapping volume-button as home)

Screen:
Screen resolution is 1024x600, the screen is very nice and crisp and it has good touch accuracy.
Pros:
- Crisp and clear, its easy to read e-books or manga on this device

Cons:
- Resolution lower than google nexus 7
- Panel is not IPS meaning you have to be right in front of the screen to see the picture clearly
- Its easy to get fingermarks on the screen
- Screen is reflective

Usage:
All test have been performed using the latest F&LSuperstore's Repack ROM version 20120806 (Market Fix, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P6200 finger print and Root), downloaded from here
Pros:
- Everything is smooth, no lag when using menus, looking at photos or scrolling in webpages
- 3D-gaming works great! No lag at all in games like Angry Birds Space, Temple Run, or Dead Trigger
- Built in videoplayer handles 720p and 1080p .mkv files with subtitles easily. (Tested formats: divx, xvid, 720p h264, 1080p h264, mkv, mp4)
- Youtube works, TED works, Voddler works, Netflix not tested
- Built in speaker is loud and clear, sound is also good when using headphones.
- Google Play works
- Battery lasts 3-5h with normal use

Cons:
- Microphone records in low volume
- Front camera is low resolution
- If the tablet lies flat on the table the speaker sound is a little low because it gets blocked

Overall:
In my opinion one of the best ~$100 tablets on the market today

Google is working out any bugs in the latest update to the Android mobile operating system before releasing it broadly, and that's good news for Samsung Nexus S users.

Some Google employees are testing an over-the-air update of Android 4.0 on their Samsung Nexus S smartphones, according to a report from Android Police. The development was leaked on Google+ by Adel Saoud, Google AdSense Policy Applications and Signals Developer, who said the update was "looking great."
<a href="http://www.pandawillforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5718" title="Name:
It could still take weeks or months before the update, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, is released. Considering all the hype, expect it to be sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, some advanced Android users who can't wait are getting ICS early by using custom ROMs made by developers after Google recently released the open source code for Android 4.0. Developers can release these ROMs faster because they don’t have to deal with all the red tape a giant enterprise like Google does, especially when you throw carrier manipulation into the mix.

A safer bet for many Android users is to wait for the official release.

There are several ways you can prepare your phone for the update, such as: cleaning up, backing up and updating your apps, backing up your data and making sure on the big day your phone is well charged and connected to a network so that any attempts by the OS to "phone home," register, or otherwise finish the process are possible.

According to U.S. technology website Mashable reported, code-named “gingerbread” of the various versions of Android 2.3 Android system is the most popular one in the share of all Android devices up to 50.51%.

Android operating system developed rapidly, despite the Google Android platform make every effort to ensure frequency and upgrade security, but the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and operators but did not act quickly to install the latest version of Android to existing equipment . New Android devices to make this problem more complicated, they are often not listed equipped with the latest version of the Android system.

The results of the six versions of the Android system is now co-exist on the Android device that Android 1.5 “cupcake” (Cupcake), Android 1.6 “Donut” (Donut), Android 2.0 “muffin” (Éclair), Android 2.2 ” frozen yogurt “(Froyo), Android 2.3″ gingerbread “(Gingerbread), Android 4.0″ Ice Cream Sandwich “(Ice Cream Sandwich).

Among them, the “gingerbread” in all Android devices share of 50.51%, dominant, and the remaining five versions of the Android system accounted for 47% of the Tablet PC uses a “honeycomb” (Honeycomb) occupy the rest. In other words, every market has a “gingerbread” mobile phone, then there is a corresponding use of the old version of Android mobile phone system.

“Ice cream sandwich” as just listed, in this ranking can be ignored, and the “frozen yogurt” in the Android phone in the proportion is still 35.3%, “muffin” proportion was 9.6%. In addition, 1.3% of the Android phone a “donut”, and another 0.8% of mobile phone use “cupcakes.”

Although the “donut” and “cup cake” system is still not completely eliminated, but “frozen yogurt” to “gingerbread” transition, “gingerbread” to “ice cream sandwich” transition, but the general trend. It is noteworthy that the listing of some of the equipment is always equipped with the current version of Android, until they are eliminated. The only problem is that original equipment manufacturers and operators to make a response to this how fast.

Google's open-source Android 4.0 operating system for smartphones and tablets has been ported to work with x86 processors, a member of an open-source project involved in the effort said this week.

The source code of Android 4.0.1, which is code-named Ice Cream Sandwich, is for developers and designed to work with tablets based on Advanced Micro Devices' low-power x86 chips code-named Brazos, which are typically used in netbooks and low-end laptops. Some AMD chips are being used in tablets such as MSI's WindPad 110W.

The port means that tablets with Android 4.0 based on x86 chips could be on the horizon. Intel is the top x86 chipmaker, and the company has already said it is working with Google to bring Android 4.0 to smartphones and tablets.

The port of Android 4.0.1 to x86 is still a work in progress. The source code, which is available for download on Android-x86.org, provides Wi-Fi, multitouch and hardware graphics acceleration capabilities. It does not provide sound, camera, Ethernet networking or hardware acceleration for Intel-based processors yet.
MIPS, a competitive processor architecture to x86 and ARM, will also get Android 4.0 soon. A spokeswoman for MIPS Technologies, which licenses the architecture, earlier this month said the company was waiting for Google to open source the software so its engineers could port the OS.

VIA MW8605 chips are very short of supply these days in Shenzhen market. Almost all of Shenzhen factories have no way to continue production of VIA MW8605 tablets. Now the tablets found in the market possibly are from the previous stock or some main boards of returned tablets. The short supply is predicted not to ease till December 15th this year. Why it suddenly happened that VIA MW8650 was out of stock? It said VIA is making preparation for its next generation of chip. So it began to reduce the output of WM8650 chip.

Many of factories in Shenzhen are living on the VIA 8650 tablets. They couldn't wait to declare bankruptcy. Most of them applied the Infotmic IMAPX210 chip instead of VIA 8650. Both of them are in the similar price rank. IX210 tablets have a better performance than VIA 8650 ones overall. After a long term of optimization, ARM11 has been developed to its best status. It can play 1080p HD and online flash videos smoothly. But compared to Cortex A8 chip, it runs slower and not so good as Cortex A8's game performance. IMAPX210 tables still have a huge potential to occupy a better market share, because they are sold cheaper than cortex A8 ones.

Infotmic IMAPX210 Will Replace VIA Chip? Who knows? VIA chip may launch its new powerful weapon next year.

It seems that the color white is an attractive one for hardware manufacturers to roll out – case in point, the white iPhone making quite the splash when it was first announced, and since then, we have had different colored hardware making their mark as well. Nokia’s effort with the ill-fated N9 is not yet over, as the Finnish handset manufacturer has just announced that they will be introducing a white colored Nokia N9, still running on the MeeGo operating system, of course. According to Frank Zillikens from Nokia, “The manufacturing process for beautiful white products is quite complex and we wanted to make sure we deliver the best possible quality for our consumers.”

Other smartphones that come in this endearing, pale shade include the Samsung Galaxy S2, Apple iPhone 4S and Blackberry Bold 9900, not to mention the Droid RAZR also rumored to come in a similar pasty color. Do you think the Windows Phone efforts from Nokia too will be on the receiving end of white colors in due time?

Before RK2818 tablet put into the market, Witstech company was one of the first manufacturers to produce tablet PCs in China. Benefited from the good relationship with Texas Instruments, Witstech took the lead to launch the A81 tablets with good build quality and excellent software performance . It finally releases the new generation not long ago, Witstech A91 tablet, after several generations of A81 tablets updating for a few years.

Different from most of China manufacturers, Witstech has its own software engineering company. You won't find any tablets same with the Witstech's in the market. It cooperates with TI closely these years from the main board design to system software to the debugging. It produced a great quantity of tablets for TI.

Not like most of manufacturers in China, Witstech A91 doesn't apply the RK29 or A10 processor. It has a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8-based CPU, allegedly supplied by Texas Instruments' OMAP3730 processor. There’s 512MB RAM, 2GB flash memory and 1.3MP camera. It has more advantages than others on the software compatibility, system efficiency, the game compatibility etc. Like the A81 tablet, the WitsTech A91 tablet PC also features a clear and vibrant 7-inch capacitive screen, but with a better resolution of 1024x600. Its touch screen point rate is up to 200HZ, so sensitive to close to the iPad. The high quality screen material guarantees that the screen looks more nice and more resisting heat and wear. It is equipped with the low power consumption of LPDDR storage, 8 layers of PCB main board, SDIO port and stable wifi/Bt modules. All of those make its wifi signal is on the same level of the laptop. In addition, for independent GPS module, it takes the most advanced big size of GPS plant antenna. Plus, there’s Bluetooth and optional support for 3G connectivity. You don't need to worry about battery life problem with A91, because it has the removable battery.
The A91 has a huge improvement in terms of looks when compared to the A81 tablet PC. The tacky physical buttons on the front are bumped off to give way for neat touch buttons.
The android device is getting more and more slimmer. We are curious that how slim the android device will get to be. Now we can see such tiny android item, without screen and battery. That's the Cotton Candy USB stick, brought by FXI.

Stick it into any device that supports USB storage, and Cotton Candy will register as a USB drive. From there, you can run the Android OS in a secure environment inside your desktop, courtesy of a Windows/OSX/Linux-compatible virtualization client embedded in the device.

Cotton Candy is far more than just Android on a stick. Under its Hot Wheels-sized hood, the device sports a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A9-based processor (the same basic processor architecture you’ll find in the fastest chips from Apple and Nvidia), as well as ARM’s quad-core Mali GPU and 1GB of RAM. It’s an impressive laundry list of specs, and seems more than capable of fueling Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread, the version of the OS that comes on the device.

We may not have to wait long to see Android on more than just our mobile devices.

Nokia's Windows Phone-based devices could land on AT&T here in the states, an AT&T exec said this week.

AT&T is currently working out a deal with Nokia to start selling Windows-based devices, said Glenn Lurie, head of AT&T's tablets division, according to Bloomberg.

"We look at every promotional period separately and decide what we're going to spend our dollars on and what we're going to put our efforts in," Lurie told Bloomberg during a conference in Barcelona. "But nothing to announce there on that yet."

Nokia announced its first two Windows Phones in London last month—the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 (left)—but neither are coming to the United States. Instead, Nokia is preparing "custom" devices for U.S. carriers.

During the October CTIA trade show in San Diego, Nokia's president for the Americas, Chris Weber, told PCMag that the company is trying to bring Windows Phones to several U.S. carriers.

"Take your favorite carrier, and we'll focus on them," Weber said. "We're focused on the operators we think we can have the most success on … a broad set of operators is what we're focused on."

Weber didn't rule out CDMA carriers Sprint and Verizon, even though Nokia hasn't made smartphones for CDMA radio networks since 2005.

While at Nokia World, meanwhile, PCMag's Sascha Segan found that signs pointed to Nokia's new Windows Phones arriving on Verizon, although neither Nokia nor Verizon would confirm.

Review on Nokia Lumia 800

The Nokia Lumia 800 ($580 unlocked; price as of 11/16/11) is the first phone from the Finnish phone maker to run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Mango...

The Nokia Lumia 800 ($580 unlocked; price as of 11/16/11) is the first phone from the Finnish phone maker to run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Mango OS and should make its way to the U.S. in early 2012. Nokia has put some of its finest craftsmanship into the Lumia 800, creating a solid and sleek smartphone. Combined with the latest version of Windows Phone 7, the Lumia 800 is a solid choice for anyone in the market for a Windows Phone -- but not yet in the same league as the iPhone 4S and Android heavyweights.
Solid, Attractive Hardware With Few Letdowns

The Nokia Lumia 800 has a matte polycarbonate unibody chasis that is a bit on the chunky side, but the slightly curved shape makes it comfortable to hold. Measuring 4.58 by 2.40 by 0.47 inches, the Lumia 800 fits easily in most pockets or bags, and it won’t weigh you down at 5 ounces. The left side of the phone has no buttons, while on the right side you will find a volume rocker, a lock key and a two-step camera shutter. The buttons are easy to press and there is enough space between the volume rocker and the lock key, so they don’t get confusing when you reach without looking.

A loud and clear speaker is at the bottom of the Lumia 800, while at the top you will find a headphone jack, a microUSB port for charging and syncing, and the microSIM card slot. The speaker is slightly muffed if you stand the phone vertically (which covers it), but the quality is good when just sat on a flat surface.

The pop-out plastic panel covering the USB port at the top of the phone can be quite problematic though. The flimsy panel needs to be open vertically when charging the phone and can be easily broken by pushing it back too much. Otherwise, there are no visible screws or moving parts in the monoblock design of the phone, which is available in three colors: black, cyan and magenta.

The Nokia Lumia 800 has a curved 3.7-inch Gorilla Glass display that houses the three touch (with haptic feedback) Windows Phone keys (back, home, search) below it. The AMOLED display resolution is 800 by 480 pixels, which is standard for Windows Phone 7 handsets, yet below the pixel density of competitors such as the iPhone 4S or the Droid Razr. Nevertheless, text rendered on the responsive Lumia 800 display is sharp and images are bright and richly saturated.

The Lumia 800 comes with 16GB of built-in flash storage (512MB of RAM), but there is no SD card slot for memory expansion, which could be a letdown for those who need ample storage for their media library. You do however get 25GB of free storage via Microsoft’s SkyDrive, so you can offload some of your photos and other media there. The phone also lacks a user-removable battery, but there’s an FM radio on board.

Windows Phone 7 Mango Sprinkled With A Bit Of Nokia Fairydust

Windows Phone 7.5 Mango has been covered extensively by PCWorld, including a general overview and a look at the new features in this version. Out of the notable improvements in this version, multitasking is a breeze – just hold the back button and you are presented with chronological panels of the apps currently in use.

The People Hub now connects to Facebook, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Windows Live and Outlook, so you can have all your contacts consolidated in one place, including their latest social status updates. The Pictures Hub also integrates with Facebook or SkyDrive, and can automatically detect whether a person is in the photo, asking you whether you want to tag them (there’s no face recognition feature).

Other notable search features built into Mango include the Local Scout, an app that uses GPS to show you amenities around you, including restaurants, shops and attractions. The Bing app can also identify songs (similar to Shazam on iOS and Android), scan QR codes and Microsoft Tags and lets you search with voice queries. Mango even has its own version of Siri (the iPhone 4S voice-enabled assistant), which in my tests was quite hit and miss (I tested it with both American and British accents). The Mango voice assistant allows you to call contacts, open apps, execute local searches or dictate messages.

Unlike Android, phone manufacturers can’t throw their own custom skins over Windows Phone, but they are allowed to put a few branded tiles on the homescreen or add special features. preloaded the Lumia 800 with a full set of custom ringtones (including a version of the classic Nokia tune). There’s also a custom ‘Nokia Blue’ color scheme enabled, which is slightly darker than the standard shade from Windows Phone. The best bit of Nokia’s additions is Nokia Drive, a GPS application that provides free point-to-point navigation (you need to download country-specific maps at first use), as well as Nokia’s own music store.

Good Camera, Best Used Without Flash

The Lumia 800 rocks an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens at the back, which provides sharp and colorful images in daylight. You can bring up the camera almost instantly by pressing the dedicated shutter on the side (phone needs to be unlocked). The shutter button has two steps, so you can focus by slightly pressing it, and then take the photo by pressing all the way down. You can also focus by touching the display and holding it until photo is captured.

There’s a dual LED flash for low-light conditions, which does a fair job with objects close to the camera, but otherwise images shot with the flash can be a bit grainy and yellowy. The camera can record video at 720p HD (though most competitors now can do 1080p), and videos are smooth and sharp. Unfortunately, Nokia did not include a front-facing camera for video chat on the Lumia 800. This is a strange omission since one of the updates in Mango is support for a front-facing camera. Additionally, just about every smartphone out there now has a front-facing camera so it is strange that Nokia wouldn't include one on its flagship phone.

Performance Packs A Punch, But Not A Knock-Out

When most high-end phones run on dual-core processors, Nokia opted for a single-core Qualcomm 1.4GHz chip with 512MB of RAM on the Lumia 800. That’s not on par with some Android smartphones running dual-core 1.2GHz processors and 1GB of RAM, but the Lumia 800 doesn’t stumble when you put it to work. The 1.4GHz processor inside is zippy enough for handling multiple open apps, gaming via Xbox Live or browsing the Web. In several days of testing, the Lumia 800 did not stall or stutter under pressure.

The version of Lumia 800 that I tested was a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone, capable of up to 14.4Mbps downloads on HSPA. Call quality over 3 UK’s network was good, and my friends noted I sounded clear over the line, while the sound from Lumia 800’s speaker was good, but muffed at times (which could be due to the other party’s line). The Lumia 800 does not have 4G connectivity.

I have not had a chance to test the battery life formally. In daily use however, the Lumia 800 kept a charge through a whole day of hands-on tests. Windows Phone 7 Mango also has a battery saver option under settings, which can be turned on when battery runs low. The option will then automatically turn off some services (such as automatic email retrieval) or kill background apps in order to preserve battery life.

Bottom Line

The Nokia Lumia 800 is probably Nokia’s best smartphone so far. It has a sturdy and sleek construction, with a vivid display, paired with refreshing software from Microsoft. If you are just upgrading to a smartphone or you have one of Nokia’s Symbian devices, then the Lumia 800 is a stellar upgrade: it’s fast, easy to use and it looks great. But compared with the iPhone 4S or high-end Android phones though, the Lumia 800 has a few potential deal breakers: it’s lacking a dual-core processor, 1080p video recording, a front-facing camera for video chat.

It might have underwhelmed the devotees, but sales of Apple’s iPhone 4S topped four million in just three days following last month’s launch, and it’s still the must-have smartphone this winter. Of course, those sleek looks don’t come cheap. Or do they..?

Out of contract, the iPhone 4S will cost you £499, but we can reveal that the nuts, bolts and high-end circuitry inside cost far less – see below for the total.

Expert analysts from technology firm iSuppli have prised open the pristine casing and totted up the cost of each component.

Some are reassuringly expensive – the touchscreen and display unit cost £23 – but others are less confidence-inspiring.

Next time you’re cursing the battery life, remember it’s only worth £3.68.

Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan has let it slip that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code may be released this week. The exec says Google is preparing for a November 17th release date, but it is unclear whether that date is set in stone or an educated guess based off talks with the Android dev community.

Giving more credibility to the rumor is Shravan's leaks in the past to other Android developments.

Additionally, it has been rumored that the Galaxy Nexus will launch in Europe on the same day.

NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 chipset has been gone over in full detail by your humble narrator in two posts here on SlashGear just a few weeks ago in two posts, one on how there are actually [five cores, not just four], and another all about [Variable Symmetric Multiprocessing] aka vSMP. Note that back then NVIDIA had not yet revealed that the final market name for the processor would be “Tegra 3″ at the time these posts were published, instead still using the codename “Project Kal-El” to identify the chipset. The most important thing you should take away from these posts is this: your battery life will be better and the distribution of power needed by your processor cores will be handled more intelligently.

You will find this game look familiar. Cut The Birds combines two popular games Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds. In the game, you have to slice these birds up before they smach into your devices screen rendering cracks beyond repair. Similar with the Fruit Ninja, you can swipe birds with one swish or finger. However, be careful with the bombs, which eventually make their way to the air.

Ready to have a try? Now you can download it from the android market. If you have any comments, welcome to share with us here.

Users of some Samsung, HTC, and other android devices have already been enjoying this feature for some time thanks to manufacturer additions, but based on what we've seen so far, the Galaxy Nexus will be able to take screenshots without the need for any external apps, root, carrier mods, or other nonsense - support for it is now baked into the core of ICS.

Just press VolDn+Power and voila:

This has been a busy two-week in the mobile world , the release of the iPhone 4S and “Ice Cream Sandwich” (ICS). The Android community has been anxiously awaiting ICS as it is believed it will unify the user experience between phones and tablets that are powered by Google’s mobile OS. Which, eventually, it will.

Let’s start with what we know about ICS, which is mostly gleaned from a leaked video (embedded below):

A new lock screen is going to be implemented, using bubbles to activate specific actions by dragging.

Honeycomb tablet users will not notice much difference, mainly in aesthetics and coloring.

Phone users will notice a drastic difference, as ICS brings honeycomb features to handsets.

The experience will be generally the same whether you are holding a tablet or a phone powered by ICS.

At least on the Tuna (internal code name for the ICS phone being announced tomorrow), there will be no hard buttons on the face of the device; it will have soft buttons like current Honeycomb tablets.

Now that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Galaxy Nexus event is officially re-announced for October 19th, we are already starting to see signs of that tasty Ice Cream. Google headquarters in the same fashion as usual have already landed their newest landmark — the Ice Cream Sandwich sculpture right on the front yard of Google HQ.

People waiting outside of Apple store in Sydney, Australia.

Apple Inc.'s latest iPhone arrived in stores Friday in the U.S. and a half-dozen countries, as the company hoped to cement its position as the world's leading smartphone maker.

As has become the custom for Apple product launches, throngs of eager customers lined up in front of Apple's retail stores to be among the first to get their hands on the new phone, dubbed the iPhone 4S. The handsets go on sale at 8 a.m. local time in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, France, Germany and Japan.

By 7:30 a.m. Friday morning on a street in Brooklyn Heights, New York, lines of several dozen iPhone hopefuls snakes outside the AT&T and Verizon stores on the same block.

At the head of the AT&T line: Michael Adesida, 24, and Jamel Hicks, 23, who had arrived at 11:45 pm Thursday and waited out a stormy night. To reserve their place in line during the overnight downpours, the two said they left their Popeyes dinner at the door of the store.

Across the street at a Sprint authorized retailer store, spirits sank a few minutes before 8 a.m. when store associates informed the waiting crowd of about 10 that the store had no more iPhone 4s's for sale.

In Texas, bleary-eyed fanboys and suburban moms flocked to the Apple store at Houston's Memorial City Mall in the pre-dawn night. The procession was remarkably sedate, as company staff and customers clutching lawn chairs had honed the Apple launch madness to an orderly science.

In San Francisco, Steve Cochrane, 28, was halfway down the line that wrapped around two blocks outside an Apple Store downtown, tapping away on his original iPhone, which was released in 2007. He said he'd decided to upgrade after four years because he'd moved to a new part of the city, where AT&T's service was spotty, so he's switching to Verizon.

Apple has already said first-day preorders for the iPhone 4S, which began a week ago, topped one million units, beating the company's own expectation and sales for earlier models. Smartphones are not only one of the fastest-growing parts of the technology sector, but have since 2007 also become Apple's single-largest product category.

For retailers for Sprint Nextel Corp., which is getting the iPhone for the first time on Friday, the last two weeks have been a scramble.

Samsung is going to launch the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-based smartphone at an event in Hong Kong, scheduled to be held on October 19. Samsung was initially slated to launch the Samsung Nexus Prime, a.k.a. Galaxy Nexus at an event in San Diago on October 11 but later the company decided to postpone the event, as a mark of respect to Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs, who passed away recently.
Without divulging the official name of the new smartphone, Samsung issued a statement saying, "We are unpacking our new Android phone in concurrence with Google." Following are the rumored specs of the Galaxy Nexus Prime:

Display: 720 x 1280 pixels, 4.65 inches (~316 ppi pixel density)

CPU: Dual-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, Samsung Exynos chipset

Battery: Li-Ion 2050 mAh

Camera: 5 MP, 2592x1936 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, 1080p video recording at 30fps

Features: Document and Image Editor, LTE connectivity, three-axis gyro sensor

The rumored price of the next Samsung phone is $750.
Moreover, it is the first smartphone to feature Ice Cream Sandwich incarnation of Google's Android operating system. The Ice Cream Sandwich is promised to combine the tablet and smartphone oriented operating systems. Check out our previous coverage on the long-awaited Samsung smartphone here.
Samsung's new flagship product comes days after the launch of the iPhone 4S, which has seen an overwhelming response in the US. The comparison between forthcoming Samsung smartphone and the iPhone 4S is inevitable. Lets wait and watch, which one of them creates a lasting impact.
The device will initially be launched at Nokia World, as the Finish Company desperately tries to gain sales traction, after consumers in the millions dumped Nokia brand phones for new Android and Apple smartphones.

Both HTC and Samsung have said that they will have Windows Mango based phones that will compete head on with "whatever Nokia decides to launch" a Samsung Australia official said.

Promotional materials for a device called the Nokia 800 were revealed earlier this week. One ad which shows a screen shot of the device says: "Today the sun will rise and set, the rest is up for grab". A second promo reveals the device by name and touts an 8-megapixel camera.

It reads: "Just click the button on the side of the new Nokia 800 and an 8-mp photo can be easily tagged, shared with your groups or social networks and stored in an album in seconds."
The handset could be the Nokia Windows Phone previously known as the Sea Ray say overseas sources.
A Telstra source said that Nokia has shown them a model of the Windows based handset. "It is very smart and visually appealing" they said. "The issue will be whether consumers are prepared to invest in a Windows based model. They haven't in the past" said the Telstra executive.
